I am a Washington, DC oil and water color painter. My art is impressionistic, combining representational and abstract elements to express my subjects' sensory and emotional aspects and investigate questions of what painting preserves, and what it transforms. I exhibit regularly and participate in community events such as Art All Night and Art Walks. I have donated paintings for school and mutual aid fundraisers, and to the Baltimore, Maryland Center for Hope for client families and children who have suffered trauma. I enjoy plein air painting and workshops with other artists and in new environments, to learn and share with others and to experience diverse cultures and perspectives.
