130 Awata is an independent creative space nestled in a quiet rural landscape beside Lake Vaitarna. Built through a close relationship with the local community, it is a place for artists, makers and curious travellers to slow down, reconnect with nature and explore creative practice. The space brings together ceramics, wood-fired pottery, landscape, ecology and community living. Artists can access a shared ceramics studio, participate in scheduled wood-fired kiln firings and develop independent projects in a peaceful, immersive environment. Alongside artist residencies, 130 Awata welcomes guests for short creative stays and occasional pottery weekends.
