TRUST Collective offers two independent studios in a simple rural setting alongside permaculture land. The studios are intended for projects at the beginning or middle of their creative process, and each project has exclusive use of one studio.
The residency is based in Barril de Alva, a rural village in Arganil, central Portugal. Its work is closely connected to the surrounding nature, local community and territory.
Accommodation is available for up to four people in shared double rooms, with heating, electricity, water, Wi-Fi, cleaning, a kitchen and bathroom. Food is not included.
Arrivals are on Mondays by 14:00 and departures on Sundays. Food is not included. Cancellations must be made at least four weeks before the start date to qualify for a refund; a €40 administration fee is deducted.
Residencies are open to all artistic practices. At the end of a stay, residents are invited to share their process with the local community through an open rehearsal, informal conversation or short workshop. The collective encourages artists with financial constraints to get in touch to discuss other forms of mutual contribution.
