Artaway was born from a simple idea: artists shouldn't have to choose between creating and exploring. Across the world, there are hosts with beautiful spaces — studios, retreats, eco-lodges, galleries — who would love to welcome a creative guest.
We built Artaway to bring them together. Whether it's an art-for-stay exchange, a paid commission, or a month-long residency, the platform makes it easy to find opportunities and connect directly. Free for artists, always.

Creative opportunities shouldn't be hidden behind expensive applications or closed networks. If you have the talent, you should be able to find a space to use it.

How it started
Artaway started as a personal project by Edra, a muralist and developer who spent years travelling and exchanging art for accommodation.
After doing it informally — posting in Facebook groups, messaging hostels directly, relying on word of mouth — it became clear that a dedicated platform could make the process better for everyone involved. So we built one.
