How it works
Exchange
art for
experiences
A simple way to connect creative skills with inspiring spaces. Artists and hosts working together, directly.
Three formats
One platform, three ways to connect
Exchange
Trade your space and hospitality for an artist's time and skills. No money changes hands — an artist might paint a mural, teach a workshop, leave a piece behind, or help with the garden, kitchen, or maintenance, while the host offers a room, meals, and the space and time for the artist's own work.
Residency
Structured time and space to focus on your work. Residency programmes offer dedicated studios, defined dates, and often materials and mentorship. Apply through the platform, get accepted, arrive and create.
Paid gig
A host commissions an artist for a specific project — a mural, an installation, a photo series. Fee and brief agreed upfront, work created on-site, artist gets paid. Some hosts also include accommodation and meals — others just pay the fee. Check each listing for details.
What makes Artaway different
No fees, no commission
Listing is free for hosts during early access. When you and a host agree on an exchange, residency, or gig, the arrangement is yours — we don't take a cut.
Direct relationships
Artists and hosts message each other directly. We don't sit in the middle of your conversations, your logistics, or your creative decisions.
Built for creative exchange
This isn't a booking platform. It's a place where artists find inspiring spaces and hosts find creative energy — and both sides walk away with more than they came with.
