Itzel Aguilar is a multidisciplinary visual artist and muralist whose practice explores migration, memory, identity, and healing through mixed media painting and installation. Drawing from her Chicana and Indigenous Mexican heritage, her work reflects the emotional and cultural landscapes of displacement, resilience, and belonging. Her work often weaves together layered imagery, symbolism, and personal narrative to examine intergenerational trauma and processes of self-reclamation. Through series-based projects such as Nunca Fue Tu Culpa, she engages themes of healing, cultural memory, and the body as an archive of experience.
