Droblyen is a Virginia-based artist and educator whose work blends watercolor, acrylic, photography, and mixed media to explore place, memory, color, and everyday visual patterns. Drawing from photographs taken during her travels and close observations, she creates layered, expressive images that balance strong color, texture, and narrative. Her artistic practice is shaped by a lifelong commitment to arts access, community connection, and creative learning. Alongside her studio practice, Droblyen has built a 28 year career spanning museum education, community arts programming, special education, and arts advocacy. She retires July 2027 and will pursue art making and instruction full time and seeking an opportunity to have enrichment space for focus and collaboration.
