Join painter Edwige Fouvry for five days of figure and landscape work in oil or acrylic at Villa Fontallorso in Tuscany. Demonstrations, explanation, and individual feedback address observation, colour, light and shadow, proportion, texture, composition, and the movement between representation and abstraction, with studio and plein-air sessions depending on weather.
Les environs
The retreat takes place at a nineteenth-century villa near the Casentinesi forest park in Tuscany, around forty minutes from central Florence, with a bright 220-square-metre octagonal studio and surrounding woodland and vineyard views.
La vie sur place
Six nights at Villa Fontallorso are included, with twin-share and private-room categories. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, soft drinks and wine are included in the package.
Bon à savoir
The workshop is taught in English and Edwige also speaks French. Easels and solvents are provided; participants receive a full materials list and information pack at least three months before the retreat. Arrival and departure transfers are included from the organiser's stated meeting point.

Itinéraire
Observation and composition
Use demonstrations and guided exercises to study observation, colour, light and shadow, proportion, texture, and the organisation of the canvas.
Figure in the landscape
Paint from a life model and reference material, developing either a representational or more abstract response to figure and setting.
Studio and plein-air work
Work in the octagonal studio and outdoors when weather permits, with individual feedback from Edwige throughout the week.

Coût
The all-inclusive price is €2,290 for a twin-share ensuite room, with private room options from €2,590 to €3,330. A non-participating partner may join eligible private-room bookings for €790.
