Creative Stay in an Artist’s House in Portugal

The space

A Encantada is a private artist’s house nestled in the mountains of the Serra do Açor, in central Portugal, surrounded by forests, schist villages and wide-open landscapes. Here, time seems to move differently. At the heart of the house is a 50 m² independent Creative Space. A place to write, draw, paint, photograph, think, experiment or simply let an idea take shape. The openings and terraces bring the mountains into everyday life, while the large covered panoramic terrace offers a peaceful place to work, read or simply pause above the landscape. A Encantada is not a place of constant activity. It is a place for concentration, solitude and creative freedom. A place where mornings can begin slowly, where an unfinished idea can remain on the table, and where changing light, silence and the landscape can become part of the creative process. Artists are invited to find their own rhythm, follow their curiosity and give their work the time and space it needs.
