The space
La Loba is a creative home nestled in the mountains of Galicia, northwestern Spain. Surrounded by nature and the quiet of rural life, it offers a warm, spacious environment to step away from everyday routines and make room for creativity. With private bedrooms, generous communal areas, a garden and an outdoor swimming pool, it is a place to work, rest, explore and connect. More than a traditional studio, La Loba is a home where ideas can unfold naturally, without the pressure to produce or the need to have everything figured out.
Surroundings
Located in Fornelos de Montes, a small village in the green mountains of Galicia, La Loba is surrounded by forests, hills and open landscapes. It is a place to slow down, spend time outdoors and find inspiration in the simplicity of rural life. Vigo and Pontevedra are the nearest cities, while Vigo, Santiago de Compostela or Oporto offer airport connections.
Life during a stay
Life at La Loba has no fixed schedule. Each artist is free to shape their days according to their own rhythm, whether that means spending hours immersed in a project, wandering through nature or allowing space for new ideas to emerge. You will have your own private room while sharing the house with a small group of artists and creative people from different backgrounds. There is room for both solitude and connection, independent work and spontaneous exchanges. No deadlines. No productivity goals. No pressure to produce. Just time and space to explore, experiment and reconnect with your creative practice. (PD: fun spontaneous plans are inevitable)
What the artist will do
Artists of all disciplines are welcome to develop their own projects, explore new ideas or simply reconnect with their creative practice. We encourage experimentation, curiosity and inspiration drawn from nature, shared experiences and the freedom to create without expectations.
