The space
Designed by the host, a Swiss-trained architect & landscape architect, this 80 m² open-plan creative refuge occupies the main floor of a private home. A bright, flexible space where living, working and resting flow together. A large worktable sits in front of a wide picture window, framing the landscape and opening onto sweeping views of an exceptionally beautiful, unspoilt coastline. A fully equipped kitchen, two sleeping areas, two private bathrooms and a sunlit terrace complete this quiet hideaway. A place to slow down, find inspiration and create at your own pace.
Surroundings
Located in a small rural village by the sea in Galicia’s Rías Baixas, the retreat overlooks an exceptionally beautiful, unspoilt coastal landscape of sea, forests, mountains and traditional villages. Secluded coves and beaches are a 10-minute walk away, and the historic fishing town of Muros is a 10-minute drive away. Santiago de Compostela Airport is approximately 50 minutes away. A car is recommended, as there are no shops or services within walking distance.
Life during a stay
A self-directed residency in a peaceful, private setting. No fixed schedule, no pressure—just time and space to focus on your practice. Work indoors or outdoors, follow the changing light, explore the coastline or simply enjoy the silence. Like a quiet theatrical stage, the space invites you to create your own scenes and follow your own rhythm, with nature and the Atlantic landscape as constant companions.

This is an intimate creative hideaway in a private Artist’s Home, not a shared studio or a structured residency programme. Its open-plan layout offers privacy through velvet curtains rather than separate bedroom doors. Conceived as a small theatrical stage, the two sleeping areas can be screened off with velvet curtains, allowing each space to be screened off for the night while remaining connected to the central living area. Ideal for artists seeking solitude, inspiration and a close connection with nature. The space accommodates up to four creative guests, with a maximum stay of under one month.
