Arteventura is an artist residency set on a 25-hectare wooded estate deep in the Spanish inland. The project is founded on a philosophy of autonomy and a return to essentials. Since its founding, nearly 300 artists from around the world have shaped Arteventura through their work, experiences, and contributions, helping define the residency’s character and ongoing development. Arteventura offers silence, space, and time for research, experimentation, and the creation of new, adventurous work. The residency emphasizes process, investigation, and experimentation as integral parts of artistic practice.
