About this opportunity
The space
Join Colleen Corradi Brannigan for a week of guided artmaking and printmaking in her Abruzzo studio. Morning sessions develop drawing, observation and printmaking ideas; afternoons leave room for independent studio work, rest or sketching on location. Excursions to historic sites, villages, mountains and the coast provide visual material to bring back to the studio. The retreat is suited to curious beginners as well as artists developing their practice.
Surroundings
Dedalo is in Castiglione a Casauria, near the Maiella mountains. The programme lists outings to Chieti, Rocca Calascio, Bominaco and the Costa dei Trabocchi.
Life during a stay
Accommodation is on site above the printmaking studio. Rooms are private unless participants choose the shared-room offer; the studio is accessible throughout the day and night.
Good to know
Two sessions are published: 1–8 July and 11–18 September 2027. Classes are taught in English, with Colleen also able to speak Italian and French. Participants can reach the nearby Torre dei Passeri stop by coach or train and arrange pickup with the organiser. Confirm excursion details and room choice directly before booking.

Itinerary
Morning studio classes
Work with Colleen from 9:00 to 11:00 and 11:30 to 13:00, exploring drawing and printmaking processes.
Independent afternoons
Use the studio independently, rest, or develop observations from the surrounding area.
Drawing excursions
Sketch at selected Abruzzo sites including historic villages and the Adriatic coast, then bring ideas back to the studio.
Practical details
Cost
€1,420 regular per person; €1,280 when booked six months ahead; €1,200 per person for friends sharing a room. The official FAQ says meals, course materials and accommodation are included.
