La Escocesa has run as a self-managed creation factory in the Poblenou neighbourhood since 1999. It is a collective space with affordable artist studios, an annual residency programme (AIR) with an open call, and PAR, its rotating resident artist programme. A self-managed project where artists live alongside other makers, take part in the daily life of the space, and stay connected to the contemporary Barcelona scene. The PAR programme includes studio visits, mentoring and a public presentation at the end of the residency. Open to visual artists, sculptors, installation artists and performers looking for a collective and politically engaged context.
